Peasant Status is Internet-fashion dork slang for any brand that was not created by a designer and more often than not comes from "fast fashion" chains like H&M, Gap, American Eagle, Uniqlo, J. Crew, and the like.

The site is run by Jian DeLeon, who in addition to contributing to Valet and editing All Our Noise, curates the sporadically-updated toy blog lolbook.nu.

Credo: Let's face it, not all of us are ballers, but there are some finer things out there truly worth our hard-earned bucks. I find out why it's so expensive, and also learn about cheaper alternatives if you decide it's something worth skimping on. Think poor,  look rich -- that's how I like it.

PS runs the gamut from the things people had forever to the things I want now for less.

If PS was a line dance -- I would call it "the eclectic slide."
